Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge in 2026
An adult ticket to Sun World Ba Na Hills costs 950,000 VND (~$37) and, as of 2026, is valid for up to three days. For that you get a 5.8 km cable car, the Golden Bridge, a French village, flower gardens and a covered theme park. This mountain resort just over 20 km from central Da Nang is one of the most-visited attractions in central Vietnam.
The summit is cold by Vietnamese standards: 18–22°C while it's 32 down in the city. Bring a jacket even if it feels pointless. It won't be.

The cable car — 20 minutes over the jungle

The Bà Nà Hills cable car runs 5.8 km, one of the longest in the world. The ride from the base station to the summit takes about 20 minutes. Below you: slopes buried in tropical forest, waterfalls, and clouds at eye level. The cabins are enclosed and air-conditioned, seating eight.
Several cable-car lines run across the mountain (the main base-to-summit one, plus links between zones), and a funicular carries you from Debay up to the flower gardens. Transfers are free and included: on any valid day you ride as much as you like.
The stats are impressive: the base-to-summit climb is around 1,368 m, one of the biggest in the world. Some of the lines were built by Doppelmayr, the same Austrian firm behind the Alpine lifts.
The Golden Bridge and the Hands of God
A 150-metre pedestrian span, "held" by two giant stone hands. Cầu Vàng — the Golden Bridge — is one of the most photographed sights in Vietnam (the others are in our guide to photo locations in Vietnam). It's built from fibreglass and wire mesh shaped to look like moss-covered stone hands.
The bridge was designed by the Vietnamese studio TA Landscape Architecture. Since it opened in 2018 it has landed on dozens of "world's most unusual bridges" lists, from National Geographic to TIME.
The Silver Bridge
In 2025 the Silver Bridge opened next door — glass floor, viewing deck. A walkway connects the two, and together they give a full circle of views over the mountains and valley. At night the bridges are lit up — a show no worse than by day, and noticeably less crowded.

What else to see up top
Ba Na Hills is not just the bridge. There's a good 4–6 hours of sightseeing across the park.
The French Village
A quarter built to mimic medieval European architecture: cobbled lanes, fountain squares, stone facades. The cafés and restaurants cost more than in town — phở or rice runs 100,000–150,000 VND (~$4–6), coffee 50,000–80,000 VND (~$2–3.20). For comparison, the same thing in central Da Nang is 2–3 times cheaper.
Le Jardin D'Amour flower gardens
Nine themed gardens with mountain views. Peak bloom is March–May, but even in winter the gardens stay tidy and bright — and far quieter than the bridge.
Linh Ứng Pagoda and the Buddha statue
A Buddhist temple near the summit of Bà Nà with a 27-metre white statue of a seated Buddha — the funicular runs past it. A quiet spot to pause between the rides, with a valley panorama on a clear day.
The Debay Wine Cellar
A roughly 100-metre tunnel the French cut into the rock back in 1923 — the one genuinely historic structure on the mountain (everything else is 2000s-era replica). Inside it holds a steady 16–20°C, with oak barrels and a small tasting bar. You walk through in 10–15 minutes, but it's a pleasant contrast to the stage-set architecture outside.
Fantasy Park
A covered amusement park with zones inspired by Jules Verne: roller coasters, simulators, arcade games, a 3D cinema, bowling. Over a hundred attractions, most included in the ticket (a few machines and simulators cost extra). The perfect refuge when it starts raining up top or the fog rolls in.
The Alpine Coaster
A mountain toboggan — a rail-track descent down the slope. You control the speed yourself. Included in the main ticket. Queues run 15–30 minutes at peak.
Prices and tickets in 2026
The system changed in 2026: one ticket is now valid for one to three consecutive days, with unlimited cable-car rides each day. Come back on day two or three at no extra cost. To use the ticket over three days, register your face ID at the ticket office before your first entry. One thing to know: 950,000 VND is the rate for out-of-town and international visitors. Da Nang residents with a local ID pay 650,000 VND, but that rate does not apply to you as a tourist — don't mistake the figures in older blog posts for the real price.

The 1,300,000 VND combo adds a lunch buffet at one of the on-site restaurants (Four Seasons, Taiga and others) — worth it if you're staying up top all day. Book online at booking.sunworld.vn — cards accepted, and the queue is shorter than at the gate. You'll also find the park on Klook and GetYourGuide, sometimes with a hotel-pickup transfer bundled in. Tickets are non-refundable. On-site there are booths and machines too, but online is faster.
What a family day at Ba Na Hills costs
A family of four (2 adults + 2 kids, 1.0–1.4 m): entry tickets come to 3,500,000 VND (~$135). Add a round-trip Grab (600,000 VND) and lunch (400,000–800,000 VND) and the day lands at 4,500,000–4,900,000 VND (~$173–188).

- Commercial feel. The place can read like a shopping mall in the mountains
- Weather. Fog and rain can wipe out every view. In the wet season (October–November) you risk losing the day
Who it's for
Ba Na Hills is ideal for families with kids, anyone who loves photogenic spots, and first-time visitors to Vietnam. If you've already seen Da Nang and want the "real" Vietnam, the Marble Mountains or the Hai Van Pass will impress you more for a fraction of the cost.
