Where to stay in Da Nang 2026: areas, hotels and prices
The airport is a few kilometres from the centre, and hotels line 30 km of coast. Rates run from ~$20 for a 3-star to over $1,000 a night at the InterContinental — here is how to pick the right area and the right price.

Da Nang neighbourhoods: where to stay
The neighbourhood decides everything. Da Nang stretches 30 km along the coast, and each stretch suits a different kind of traveller.
My Khe (Mỹ Khê Beach) — the tourist heart
Six kilometres of fine sand, a gentle shelf into the water and moderate waves (more in our guide to Da Nang's beaches). Along Võ Nguyên Giáp street you'll find most of the 4- and 5-star hotels. Cafés, restaurants, massage and shops are all a short walk away. Beach-side spas with prices are in our Da Nang spa guide.
Best for: travellers on a one- or two-week trip, couples, anyone who wants zero logistics hassle.
To the airport: 5–7 km (10–15 minutes by Grab).
An Thuong (An Thượng) — the nomad corner
A grid of small streets just back from My Khe, packed with Western cafés, craft-beer bars, co-working spots and cheaper 3–4-star hotels. This is where a lot of digital nomads and long-stay expats base themselves — you'll hear as much English as Vietnamese here.
Best for: digital nomads, younger travellers, anyone after café culture and nightlife near the beach.
To the beach: 3–5 minutes on foot.
Ngu Hanh Son (Ngũ Hành Sơn) — quiet, near the Marble Mountains
The southern end of the coast, around Non Nuoc Beach. This is where big resorts sit: Melia Danang and Hyatt Regency. Quieter than My Khe, but outside the hotels there isn't much around.
Best for: families with kids, anyone after a calm, resort-style stay.
To the airport: 10–12 km (20–25 minutes).
Son Tra — secluded luxury
The Son Tra peninsula (Monkey Mountain) is a nature reserve with the Linh Ung pagoda and its 67-metre Lady Buddha statue (more in our guide to Da Nang's attractions). The resort out here is the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Best for: honeymoons, a VIP break, anyone chasing seclusion.
To the airport: 15–20 km (25–35 minutes).
The downside: you need transport for the town and any real infrastructure. Without a Grab or the hotel shuttle you're stuck.
City centre (Hải Châu) — on a budget
The area around the Dragon Bridge and the Han River waterfront. Markets (Hàn Market, Cồn Market), nightlife, street food. Two- and three-star hotels and hostels. It's a handy base for day trips out of Da Nang.
Best for: backpackers, budget travellers, night owls.
To the beach: 3–4 km (15 minutes by Grab for 40,000–60,000 VND / ~$1.60–2.40).
The best 5-star resorts in Da Nang
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort — top luxury
The number-one hotel in Da Nang and one of the finest in all of Vietnam. It tumbles down the slopes of the Son Tra peninsula, designed by architect Bill Bensley across four tiers — Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea — from the hilltop to a private beach.

A beachfront resort on My Khe with a huge infinity pool and 186 rooms, 15 minutes from the airport. Well-kept grounds and consistent service.

On Non Nuoc Beach, 15 minutes from the airport. Its beach frontage runs 415 metres — one of the longest of any Da Nang hotel. A large pool and landscaped gardens round it out.

Four-stars in Da Nang are comfort without the markup. Most sit on My Khe, three to five minutes from the beach. Rates run from about $35 to $120 a night.

Da Nang is a genuinely cheap beach destination. A clean double near the sea runs roughly $10–45 a night.

How to save on your stay
- Stay two or three streets back from the beach. Sea-view hotels cost three to five times more, and the beach is a five-minute walk anyway.
- Travel in the low season (October–December). Discounts up to 50%, but don't count on beach time: October and November are the peak of the rains and typhoons. More in our Da Nang weather guide.
- Book direct. The hotel's own site is often cheaper than Booking or Agoda, and you may get perks: a transfer or a room upgrade.
- Take a windowless room. Most rooms under $25 have no window or face a wall — but they're clean and near the beach.
- Go long-term. For stays of a month or more, a studio apartment drops to $300–500/month.

Getting from the airport to your hotel
Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is one of the closest airports to its city in Vietnam. It's just 3–5 km from the centre and 5–12 km to the beach zone. Grab is the easy default; taxis and a hotel transfer are the alternatives.

Yes. Booking.com and Agoda both cover Da Nang well and take foreign Visa and Mastercard. Agoda is especially strong in Southeast Asia and often has the lowest rates. Many hotels also take direct bookings on their own site, which can be cheaper still.
